He moves to Los Angeles in 2008 to study a MFA in Filmmaking at the NYFA, Universal Studios in Hollywood, where he graduates in 2009 with the feature film "Desire Street", co-directed with his collaborator Roberto F. Canuto. He receives a Special Mention for Best Feature Film in its premier at Mix Mexico Film Festival in 2011

Xu Xiaoxi, Chinese filmmaker, director and writer of films and commercials and awarded in Film Festivals, including Best Film. MFA in Filmmaking, NYFA at Universal Studios, CA (USA). Xu Xiaoxi is a Chinese filmmaker born in Chengdu (China) with an international background.
