Viktor Andreievich Simov was a Russian painter and scenographer who pioneered the use of Naturalistic settings. After having worked for Savva Mamontov's Private Opera Theatre, on 1 May 1898 Simov became the principal designer of Stanislavski and Nemirovich's newly formed Moscow Art Theatre. Simov first met Stanislavski in autumn 1896

Viktor Andreievich Simov was a Russian painter and scenographer who pioneered the use of Naturalistic settings.
