Robert Charles Francis was an American actor. Francis was born in Glendale, California and made his motion picture debut and had his most significant role of Ensign Willie Keith in The Caine Mutiny, alongside Humphrey Bogart, Fred MacMurray, and other stars. He appeared in three more films, They Rode West in 1954, John Ford's The Long Gray Line and The Bamboo Prison. Francis and two passengers were killed when the small aircraft he was piloting crashed in Burbank, California. He is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park
