Mike Batayeh is a native of Detroit, Michigan, who is currently residing in Los Angeles, California. He is a professional working actor, comedian, and writer. As an accomplished actor, Batayeh has guest starred on numerous television shows for all major networks and was most notably a recurring guest star on the critically acclaimed Showtime series, Sleeper Cell. Batayeh has also appeared in several films along with such stars as Hugh Grant, Dennis Quaid, Tony Shalhoub, and Adam Sandler. As a writer, Batayeh is credited as co-writer of Maria Costa's Macho Men and the Women Who Love Them, a one person show filmed at the famous Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and is available on DVD at all major retailers. Mike Batayeh is a native of Detroit, Michigan, who is currently residing in Los Angeles, California. He is a professional working actor, comedian, and writer. As an accomplished actor, Batayeh has guest starred on numerous television shows for all major networks and was most notably a recurring guest star on the critically acclaimed Showtime series, Sleeper Cell. Batayeh has also appeared in several films along with such stars as Hugh Grant, Dennis Quaid, Tony Shalhoub, and Adam Sandler. As a comedian, Batayeh has traveled the states and abroad. He has performed in many notable comedy clubs and theater venues, including the Comedy Store, the Improv, The Laugh Factory, Comix, the Gotham Comedy Club, and the Ice House, where he was a featured comedian in the filming of the comedy DVD, Latin Comedy Fiesta Volume 8. Batayeh has brought his unique and ever evolving style of comedy to overseas audiences in such places as Dubai, where he filmed a comedy special for Showtime Arabia. He went to Jordan for the very first annual Amman Stand Up Comedy Festival and was invited to perform at the festival the following year. He also went to Beirut, Egypt, and Nazareth, for the region's first ever live comedy show from a western performer. Batayeh has watched his fan base grow to include a cross cultural demographic and continues to entertain people from all walks of life through his brand of humor.
