Michael Holbrook Penniman, Jr. , dit Mika, est un chanteur, auteur-compositeur de pop américano-libanais, né le 18 août 1983 à Beyrouth, Liban, qui a habité à Paris (France), puis à Londres (Grande-Bretagne). Il a un contrat avec les maisons de disques Casablanca Records et Universal Music. Il est parfaitement francophone. Son premier album Life in Cartoon Motion est certifié disque de diamant et est, en France, l'album le plus vendu en 2007 avec plus d'un million d'exemplaires et plus de 6 millions dans le monde. Le chanteur aurait vendu 19 millions de disques dans le monde. Son second album est The Boy Who Knew Too Much s'est vendu a plus de 250 000 exemplaires en France et 800 000 exemplaires dans le monde. C'est cet album qui lui a permis de recevoir le triple disque de platine à son concert à Bercy
