Frederick Steven "Freddie" Roach is an American boxing trainer and a former professional boxer. Roach is of Irish and French Canadian descent. Roach is one of the best-known boxing trainers in the world, having been voted Trainer of the Year by the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009,2010 and 2013. He is the boxing coach of former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre, eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, five-time and four-division World Champion Miguel Cotto, former WBC Middleweight Champion Julio César Chávez, Jr. as well as top prospects Jose Benavidez, Peter Quillin and Vanes Martirosyan. Roach was also the trainer of former two-time world champion and notable women's champion Lucia Rijker. Roach has also trained former junior welterweight champion Amir Khan
