A provincial ordinance Han happened to stay at his ex-servant Jang-Soe's place because he is robbed 1,000 nyang on his way to Yeon-Hwa's. Yeon-Hwa's spirit comes to Han every night to give him great affection which she can't show him in this world since she died even before meeting her would-be-husband. As Jang-Soe sees his master's imprudent behavior with a ghost, he sends for a shaman to hold an exorcism performance and put a talisman but nothing works out. After all Han wakes up his senses and keeps a distance from Yeon-Hwa's soul. However he makes love to her for the last at the request of her and lets her go to heaven out of the influence of wandering resented spirit.
