Tukino is an New Zealand made film about a 12 year old Maori girl named Puhi. Puhi is abused and out cast from her family and friends and somehow, during the most abusive and darkest moments of her life, almost through some form of mental block out or meditation with a history book she finds a way to escape to another world, this is the world of her Native Maori ancestors.
