â??Schorem' is a short documentary on barbershop Schorem Haarsnijder & Barbier and owners Leen and Bertus. De men are followed in and around their successful barbershop in Rotterdam for a year. Their store was born out of passion for the centuries old handicraft of the barber. In two years the store has turned into a hype, known everywhere in the Netherlands. Every morning, men from all over the Netherlands come to the barbershop. The employees of Schorem are guys from the street, educated as a barber by Leen and Bertus. It is not possible to make an appointment. The waiting time is several hours, but the customers take that for granted.
