This short experimental film by the Hungarian Zoltán Huszárik was made in the Béla Balázs studios mid sixties, a period of strong renewal in the Hungarian cinema. The Béla Balázs studio gave young filmmakers the chance to direct short films without having to pass commissions, state funding or censorship. Seen these luxurious conditions, a lot of filmmakers as Zoltán Huszárik, István Szábo or András Szirtes created short experimental masterpieces, exploring artistic possibilities of cinema. A lot of the shorts created there remain unknown to the public: some have never circulated outside of the studio itself, and for a lot of films it is unclear who holds the rights since the Balázs studio was a collective. In the eighties, the Béla Balázs studio opened its doors to non-professional filmmakers as well.
