A group of kids in a poverty-stricken Puerto Rican rural town need money to purchase baseball uniforms for little league, but their parents are unable to help them, so they learn about collaborative work and initiative. And also get a few lessons in disappointment in the process. One of the key films of the government-backed Divedco program of the 1940s and 1950s, this is also a referential staple of Puerto Rican cinema.
