Mark Edward Degli Antoni, sometimes known by the pseudonym "horse tricks", is a New York / Los Angeles composer, known for his work as keyboard and sampler player for the band Soul Coughing from 1992 to 2000. He was born on June 20, 1962. De Gli Antoni has a masters degree in music composition from the Mannes College of Music in New York City. In the early 1990s, degli Antoni was a member, along with Eric Qin and Norman Yamada, of the composers' collective Rough Assemblage. Since Soul Coughing, he has devoted his energy toward film scoring. Notable are the films Cherish, Marie and Bruce, and the HBO documentary Roman Polanski : Wanted & Desired. His most recent film score is for Into the Abyss, directed by Werner Herzog. In 2013, Mark composed the score for the documentary feature, Plimpton! Starring George Plimpton as Himself, which played theatrically before airing on American Masters
